The other powerless to be born,
With nowhere yet to rest my head,
Like these, on earth I wait forlorn."

It's been a long time since I felt alive.
Last night was one night I was lucky enough to be able to experience it again.

I went out to "Old Town Pasadena" with my uncle.
Yeah, I needed to get away. I needed to clear my mind.

My uncle's very cool. He's young, but very wise about life.
He showed me the Pasadena City Hall. Wow...
the courtyard is very beautiful. My uncle told me that he used to go there at night with some friends to just talk. It was a time when they all could spend some actual qualitly time together and catch up.
We admired the trees, ferns, flowers, and all the other plantlife there for a moment.
He pointed out that there are four other towers that shine lights onto the main structure of City Hall at night.

We walked on and we passed by what seemed like a set up for a fair called Absolute Chalk.
We stopped to ask a couple of ladies what was going on.
Absolute Chalk is a congregation of artists who come to display their creativity on the pavement using chalk. And people would be free to observe and admire the works of chalk art. It seemed intresting enough. The "convention" would last today and tomorrow. I bet they're at it as I type.

We continued on to nowhere in particular. We ended up at the pasadena mall. It was an open air mall and was quite spectacular. There was music playing....
It took us up upstairs and to some resturaunts. It was live music. The sounds of acoustic and base guitars and percussion, all of a latin flavor, rang out.
My uncle and I sat by the balcony of that floor and savored the music.

He talked to me about people. And told me some few memorable things. But all the while, I was dancing. No, not in public, but in the private spaces of my mind. And while I didn't dance well, it was fun. And that's what dancing is all about; to let loose and enjoy the moment. And I was dancing with someone.... I dunno why...but I was dancing with...

We left after 3 songs. I felt good about myself, yet.... depressed. I don't know why. Actually, I do. But, it's a long story.

My uncle and I started to dart in and out of some shops. Just looking...just browsing....just wondering...
It was 8:30 pm or somthing by then. I don't quite remember.

We ended up on the streets then. This was where everyone was walking. This was "old town pasadena."
And we just walked....and talked...
Nothing special really. We went into some shops and saw things from places as far as Paris.

I started to get tired, but I didn't show it, I think. It was nearing 10:30pm and we were heading back; through the mall, through the absolute chalk place, and back to city hall. Wow...you can't imagine how different it looks at night. And my uncle showed me the four towers he talked about earlier. And sure enough, the main structure was brilliantly lit by artifical sunlight. We sat and just looked up into the night. Not many stars....and a few planes...but it was enough to bring back some memories....
I started to feel depressed again...

We left the city hall and went for the car. It was a cool night. As we drove, with our windows down and our elbows out where the windows would be, my uncle turned on his sound system and a strange, upbeat, sad latin/spanish song played. We hit the highway at 65 mph and he said to me,
"Take a deep breath Kevin. This is freedom."
And sure enough, I did. And I smiled. It felt good. I don't know why.

The spanish song mellowed out my smile to a faint grin. An ache inside I felt as I followed along to the lyrics and made out the spanish words (the following words are translated to english, they aren't in any particular order either):
"I know I lost you..." "why..?"
"What happened?"
"What am I going to do?"
"...it keeps raining in my heart..."
I felt like I was going to cry. "Not now," I said to my self. "Not now....maybe later..."

I got home at around 10:55pm and everything was back to normal again. I layed down for a bit after prep'ing to go to sleep. I found I wasn't able to sleep. I layed there thinking...just thinking like always....
...about everything and nothing...
...like always...

Too feel alive again...
.....to let it all go and just feel again....
.....is the greatest thing......

It's times like these you learn to live again.
It's times like these you give and give and give.
It's times like these, time and time again.

Oh wow....
I can't believe it, but...I was so moved by what someone said, that I just
had to come online and post it. I'm just a fool...

I FOUND NEMO!!
W00t...
hehe... ^_^

Anyways, yeah. Today was kinda cool.
I went out to the movies and saw "Finding Nemo." It's a cool movie. I had an icee too! ^_^
It prolly would have been...funner (?).... if I was with anybody. Yep.
And then I went to have a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink (to toast) at IN-N-OUT.
I called someone to pick me up and then I went home.
It was rather quick but an amusing evening.

And out of it all...I think I can speak whale now....

Oh well...

Oh! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE! ^__^
I hope you had a great day today. Sorry I couldn't make it. I was stuck.

Bye everyone...

Well, six flags was okay I suppose.
We paraded around gotham city and did a stand still type thing in this little secluded spot. We did pretty bad really on our show, but
the people didn't seem to know. After our stand still, we paraded back and changed. We got into groups of 6 and had to shell out $22 each for a ticket inside the park. Bleh....I had $12 left for the rest of the day. Oh well...
We rode deja vu and that was just nuts. Once you load into the carts, it takes you backwards and up until you are
basically perpendicular (90 degree angle) to the ground. We were all off our seats and the only thing that kept us from falling straight down onto the floor and making a bloody mess were our shoulder harness thingys. Then it was almost a straight drop down to start the ride. Hahaha.... when we were being pulled back to start the ride, I remember us chanting:
"Oh shit. Oh shit. Oh shit. Oh shit......OOOHHH SHIIIIT!!

LOL
That was funny. And probably the funnest time of the day.

The rest of the day was kinda tiresome. We went on other rides, ate, talked, etc. etc. etc...
My feet hurt and my head hurt. My heart hurt too....
I made a wish at the gotham city fountain...or maybe it was a statement...I dunno....

I played some DDR later on with a friend. He messed up his knee so I had to get some ice and stuff for him...
And....I played Dynamite Rave again....
....and I got an A....just like I said I would....

The rest of the day didn't matter.
All in all, it was and okay day. Nothing really special. But...
but...
it was missing someone....
someone who I care for and miss very much...

I am truely sorry about the first post on 6/20/03 if it offended you.
Note that it has been changed. I was extremely mad that night/morning and if you were me and a few others, you'd know why. Well, if any solace, I've changed it and I'm sorry. (Check that date for a note at the bottom of that post)

Now back to our regularly scheduled program:

W00t....I 0\/\/nz00rxs j00 4ll~!!

But seriously...

uhh....what was I talking about?

Well, I'm off to six flags magic mountain tommorrow. I hope all goes well.
Other than that, I dunno what to say.

Until next time folks!
